Happy Monday!
I am THRILLED with the first week of the Quiet ADHD Club. Opening the doors and welcoming members, receiving lovely messages and the Club being shared with others, seeing the positive impact of the accountability thread and the body-doubling session (more on that below), and posting out ‘Shh… I’m (over)thinking’ mugs (and an extra treat) to annual subscribers made for an all-round, tip-top, splendid week.
If you would like one of the exclusive mugs, or a signed copy of my book, The 1% Wellness Experiment, there are a few still available. All you need to do is click on the ‘Upgrade to paid’ button and choose annual subscription.
What do you think?
I have a question for you.
Currently our body-doubling session is on Thursdays 2-3pm UK time. Our first session was a resounding success for all of us who spent an hour on Zoom together and it got me thinking about the benefit of a second, weekly body-doubling session.
So, what do you think about another opportunity to gather and get stuff done each week? I’m suggesting Tuesdays 10-11am UK time (in addition to Thursdays).
Click on the poll below to let me know what you think. Thanks!
Overcoming procrastination
This month in the Club we’re exploring procrastination. As it’s one of the most common challenges I wanted to dive into it straight away.
You’ll find the two Exploration posts here.
In Part 1 we look at why we find it so hard to start a task, even when it’s something we want to do.
And in Part 2 we explore the practical actions we can take to overcome procrastination, find motivation and do what we need or want to.
You have the option to read or listen to the Explorations, whatever’s most useful to you.
Accountability thread 10-14 February
What do you want or need to do this week? It could be anything like:
messaging a friend
doing some yoga
cleaning the bathroom
taking a donation bag to the charity shop
booking an appointment
or anything at all
Whatever you’re struggling to do – this isn’t just for work or boring chores, this goes for making space for what gives you joy and takes care of your mental, physical or emotional health too – accountability can help you to actually do it. And then you’ll feel so good for having done it.
After commenting in the accountability thread one of our members made a GP appointment she’s been putting off for a year!
