Hi lovely,

We’re into the last week of March, on Sunday the clocks will be springing forward an hour (in the UK) and we’re officially in Spring (in the northern hemisphere)!

If you’re feeling Spring energy and want to get cracking on all the things I get it. And I know that going full charge ahead means there’s a strong chance you’ll forget or dismiss essentials like drinking water, eating nourishing food, getting fresh air, moving your body and sleep.

And then you’ll wind up exhausted, frazzled, overwhelmed and peeved that your Spring energy evaporated.

So this is your friendly reminder to purposefully put in place now what will help you to take care of yourself while you’re wanting to do all the things. Think about what’s helped in the past or what you could try this time. Ideas include:

  • Making arrangements now to meet up with a friend for a walk and putting reminders in your calendar so you don’t forget

  • Setting alarms on your phone to drink water, stretch or eat something

  • Batch cook meals so you’ve got nourishing food ready and waiting to be heated up and eaten

  • Decide what action you want to take to look after yourself and then ask a friend if you can tell them about it at the end of the day for accountability (and use our accountability thread of course!)

  • Make it more likely you’ll remember to take breaks by making physical reminders visible eg. water glass on your desk, yoga mat on your bedroom floor, food on the kitchen counter, trainers by the front door

These are just suggestions, they’re not going to work for everyone every time but maybe give one a go or they might spark a different idea for you.

Tuesday’s Body-doubling

Join us for our Zoom session 10-11am tomorrow, Tuesday 25 March, and make progress on something that you’ve found difficult to settle down to, the link is below.

✅ Accountability thread 24-28 March

What do you want or need to make progress on this week? It could be anything like:

  • messaging a friend

  • doing some yoga

  • cleaning the bathroom

  • taking a donation bag to the charity shop

  • booking an appointment

  • or anything at all

Whatever you’re struggling to do – this isn’t just for work or boring chores, this goes for making space for what gives you joy and takes care of your mental, physical or emotional health too – accountability can help you to make headway on it. And then you’ll feel so good for the action you’ve taken.

So, click on the image below to find this week’s accountability thread and share your intention for this week. By sharing it with our lovely Quiet ADHD Club community you can get encouragement as well as accountability, and celebration for having a go.
