Want to listen to me read this to you? Scroll to the end.

In Part 1 we looked at why we overthink and the variety of ways we can experience it. Click here to read Part 1 before Part 2.

Here in Part 2 we look at the practical action you can take to soothe and calm your overthinking mind. PLUS paid members get my online course Exhale – a beginner’s guide to meditation for overthinkers as a bonus.

How to soothe and calm your overthinking brain

The very first step is to notice you are overthinking. If we don’t have awareness we can’t take action. Once you’re aware of your overthinking you can then choose what step to take next to help soothe and calm your mind.

I’m sharing several different ideas, techniques and strategies which you can experiment with depending on what form your overthinking is taking and what time/space you have in the moment. Try them out, tweak and adapt, see what works for you and share in the comments section below.
